UK.

Have completed Reiki I and be able to provide certification
Have left a minimum of 3 months between taking Reiki I and
Reiki II
Have attended at least 3 Reiki shares
HOW I TEACH REIKI II
Attunements are the Western way of awakening the Reiki energy.
The Japanese approach is different. In Usui's day a simple, elegant
connection ritual called Reiju would have been used and this is
what I use to connect you to the Reiki source. Reiju is the same
in its form at all levels and is a lovely energy dance, rather
like following the flowing form of Tai Chi or QiGong. It does not
use mantras and symbols and does not change with different levels.
Reiju is given repeatedly during the time we work together and
is not a one-off practice.
I do not teach standard hand positions for healing, rather I
teach you to develop the ability to use your intuition to guide
to the right hand placements. This style validates your own subtle
awareness and encourages its development. It also allows you to
develop a working relationship with the Reiki energy and thus be
guided by its potential.
IMPORTANT: Reiki was originally intended to
be facilitated on a 1-2-1 basis with students, and this is the
way I teach Reiki.

WHAT THE STUDENTS SAY
I came to Laurel having completed Reiki I and after receiving
a series of treatments, decided to learn Reiki II with her. I
wanted to build on what I had learnt at Reiki I and explore the
Reiki symbols. However more importantly I wanted to find out
more about the principles of Reiki and how they could be part
of my own spiritual development. I didn’t want to encounter
all of this learning over one weekend and the prospect of engaging
with Reiki II over a period of time was extremely appealing.
I saw Laurel once a month for a year, for two hours each time,
where we explored Reiki II together. This method of learning
suited my particular learning style. Laurel was reliably always
at the end of the phone or only an email away. She is very supportive
and considerate of where you are on your journey and she always
offers an excellent blend of teaching. Laurel is extremely flexible
and what I particularly like about her is the fact that she leaves
you free to decide what you want to spend your time with her
doing. This may vary from receiving a Reiki treatment to simply
talking! Clare T.
After completing Reiki I, a friend of mine recommended Laurel
to learn Reiki II from. As soon as I met Laurel I knew she
was the right teacher for me. I have learnt so much from
her, much
more than I expected. Laurel is an excellent teacher, very
thorough and easy to understand. One of the nicest things
about the course
is the flexibility and the fact that Laurel is more than happy
to give you, the student, a Reiki treatment. The support is
ongoing, even after completion of the course. I would recommend
Laurel
to anyone wishing to learn more about Reiki. Jan
